July update

  • September 10, 2021

July was a quieter month with only a few events. First up was Aston Le Walls.

Count Onyx owned by Alexandra Van Tuyll and Helen Van Tuyll pulled it out the bag again with a 29.3 dressage and a double clear to finish in 7th place in a competitive novice section.

Comte du Bretton went for just a dressage test – he did a lovely test of 28.3 (leading his section) however was withdrawn after as planned. Tomatillo had another education run in the novice section where he will then step up to the IN at Bricky.

Quintero had another great run in the novice section, 32.8 and a double clear to finish just outside the top ten.

Next stop Burgham for the international classes this weekend coming.

It’s safe to say Burgham International Horse Trials 2021 was well worth the 9 hour trip from Dorset; with all 3 horses finishing in the top ten.

KEC Deakon owned by Heidi Bates had another fantastic run in the CCI4*/British open championship to finish 7th in a hugely competitive section of 140 starters. I am over the moon with how this horse is going – two top ten finishes in his last two 4*.

A new ride, Cooley Exchange finished 3rd in our first run together in the intermediate section. Extremely excited about the future of this horse, massive thank you to Kiha for producing him so well

Jem Rose and Lucinda Mesquita Eventing had another top ten finish in their second advanced around the British intermediate championships – what a amazing mare she is.
