Welcome to Aaron Millar Eventing
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
Some of you may know me, some of you not, but what I hope to be able to do through this site is give you a real incite into the world of eventing sat right there in your chair.
I have ridden since the age of four and known from the start that this was going to be my future, and in 2009 i realised my dream of riding at The Mitsuibishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials. The dog (pictured left) gave me credibility over and above being one of only 19 riders clear Cross Country inside the time. If you missed it, click here and hold on for the nail biting ride! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/8041857.stm
I didn't just arrive there, it took years of hard work, determination and un-noticed results such as winning the 2005 Pony Club Championships at Sansaw, 2nd in the Young Event Rider Show jumping Championship, 2nd at Windsor Great Park and 5th in the Under 18 National Champs 1* International 3 Day at Chepstow. I finished my under eighteen year by being the Best British Team rider score at Junior Europeans in Saumur, France and was ranked No 1 U18 amongst many others. In 2006 I continued to achieve good results that included competing at my first CIC*** event, and finishing fourth in the U21 rankings and in 2008 I was a long listed Young Rider team member with two horses under team training and qualified for both Advanced and Novice championships.
The 2010 season is in full swing now and I have a yard full of promising and established horses, with 20 to compete over the season. I am based at Newhall Equestrian (www.newhallequestrian.co.uk) in East Devon and the main ethos of my yard is that the horses are happy, focussed and enjoying their jobs.
Please feel free to keep an eye on my results by following this link http://www.britisheventing.com/asp-net/Events/Results.aspx?RiderId=61886
Please stay and have a browse through the site - read my blog which will keep you up to date on the goings on at the yard and competitions, or follow me on Facebook (see links). If you would like to contact me about training, riding your horse or any sponsorship opportunities then pick up the phone, I may be sat on a horse but my mobile is never far away!
Thanks
Aaron
