Competitions are a go!

We headed to Chard Equestrian with a couple of lorry loads in pure excitement to be out and about again! All combinations jumped well if a little keen in places, lock down had the same effect on all of us!

A rare treat to have just one horse competing at our local event Portman Horse Trials, with RLE Nina Van Overis Z in the IN. Her dressage was a little enthusiastic to say the least but a fabulous double clear wrapped up our 2021 season opening.

On to another local Dorset event at with a busy weekend at Bovington with some great results!
The star of the weekend goes to Count Onyx who won BE100, section A on his dressage score of 25.8. Tomatillo owned by Finn and MW Guinness had a excellent run in the BE100 producing a smart test of 29.8 and a speedy XC round to finish 9th.
Quinterro II had his first run of the season in the BE100, 28 dressage and a few time XC, finishing just outside the top 10. Comte Du Bretton owed by Lara Read did another flashy test and a double clear to finish on his dressage score of 29.3 taking 7th place.
Seamus owned by Gemma and Leigh Cornick produced another smart dressage test – this horse is learning the ropes of eventing quickly and getting better and better with each outing. Kilimanjaro owned by the The Black Grouse Syndicate had his first BE debut and didn’t let us down. A very smart test and an exciting horse for the future.
Lorna Peaster our working pupil had her own Luna in the 80T producing a smart dressage and a double clear finishing just outside the top ten – couldn’t be more proud!
As April comes to an end we are so happy to be back at Bicton Arena – a favorite of ours!
KEC Deakon owed by Heidi Bates did a seriously smart test of 24.3 followed by two good jumping rounds and a steady XC. Nina Van Overis Z also owed by Heidi Bates, Adrianne Harris and Hilary Jones did a pleasing test of 30.7 and two good jumping rounds and steady XC.
Jem rose and Lucinda Mesquita Eventing had their first run back and produced a smart test of 28 followed by a steady double clear in the ON, and Jandine and Lucinda Mesquita also had their first run of the season with a 31 dressage and two very pleasing jumping rounds.
Amber Fletcher Eventing who is based with us for the 2021 season had a good run in the novice and ready to step up to intermediate very soon.
The star of the weekend goes to Comte du Bretton aka Splash owned by Lara Read who really pulled it out of the bag with a seriously smart test of 22.5 followed by a double clear to finish in 2nd place in his first ever novice! I couldn’t be prouder of this horse he tries so hard.
Quinn also had a smart test of 29 followed by a great sj round and educational XC run.
