Well last week was a bit of a roller coaster. I'm managed to damage my achillies tendon at Stockland Lovell and  had tried not to think about it too much and carry on working the horses. By Friday last week i was in real agony so made the harsh decision to withdraw my rides at Nutwell and Henry at Aston over the weekend. I hate to do this but i was in so much pain when riding i was afraid i would do more harm than good, so ended up going to Nutwell and grooming for Alex! Trying to save myself for Wilton this weekend where i have 8 running!

Stockland Lovell was a busy event with 13 horses running. I had a mixed bag of results but no major disappointments, except a bit breaking on the XC! This weekend i am taking a new ride to Nutwell, another local event. Allercombe Review is a 5 year old, previously ridden by Oliver Townend. I have a few others in the 100 and one in the Novice and Alex has a few in the 100 also, so Saturday will be another busy day. Travelling north to Aston le Walls on Sunday.

For those of you who are making the trip to SLM HT here are a list of my horses who are competiting. Feel free to pop over and say hi and come and watch, there is always plenty going on! I really like SLM H, it's one of my local events, within an hours drive, which is always nice.

I made the tough decision to withdraw Maraca on Saturday. She had been working really well but was starting to get a little upset in the dressage to music so i made the decision to withdraw her, as not wanting to spoil her current dressage ability. It was such a shame as i was really looking forward to it. Well done to Flora Harris who came first and Alex Hua Tian who came second.

Travelling up to Stoneleigh on Sat eve for the Express Eventing as part of The Royal Festival of the Horse ready for the competition on Sunday with Maraca. She has been going really well and i am looking forward to getting out there and trying this new event. There has been a lot of hard work and effort from all parties involved in getting us both ready, especially for the dressage to music element, so we are really hoping to do well, the prize money would certainly be a welcome mid-season boost!
